The things that fill your days now—the shoes by the door, the hands that tug at your sleeve, the way your home sounds when everyone’s in it—will change before you’re ready. My work is about noticing those details while they’re still part of your everyday.
I photograph families with the same approach I bring to weddings: observing more than directing, letting moments unfold, and stepping in only when it adds something. Children don’t need to be managed or molded into a version of themselves—they need room to be who they already are.
Sometimes that means movement. Sometimes it means stillness. Always, it means paying attention.
These photographs aren’t about perfection or posing. They’re about remembering a season of life as it truly felt—before it quietly made way for the next one.

That's what I'm here for. My family sessions are centered around you and your family's dynamic, whatever that may be. Whether that means chasing your little ones down the sidewalk or snuggling them quietly in the studio, we curate your session to match your family's personality.

We booked Hillary for a family photo session. Our toddler is a very active and spicy toddler, and Hillary's patience with him paid off! She gave great suggestions for poses or things to try with him (swing him up in the air to get him to giggle, swing him while we walk, let him "race" and run towards her) and despite my anxiety about being able to get any usable photos (we've failed with other photographers in the past), we got several! She was totally willing to roll with it and let him do some exploring while she worked on candid shots of the family and it turns out those were our favorites. We got some fantastic posed family shots, but her patience and flexibility with letting our toddler drive the session got us some incredible relaxed family photos that don't look awkward or rehearsed. I'm so grateful for her experience and expertise! She was wonderful to work with, and had top notch communication throughout the entire process.

Hillary has done two different photo sessions for me and both turned out beautifully! We did a family mini session and cake smash photos for my son’s first birthday as well as business photos. Both sessions were super fun and Hillary made the process so easy. Her communication was great and she was wonderful to work with. My daughter (3) has been super shy for family photos in the past, and she was starting off the same way this session but Hillary let her do her own thing, relax, and open up on her own. By the end my daughter was talking her ear off and trying to get her to go on an exploring adventure with her. I highly recommend Hillary and her team for your photo needs!
